All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Lou Ellen Armour Mrs. Lou Ellen Armour, 96, of Pleasant Hill, died at the Pleasant Hill General Hospital Dec. 31, at 4:05 a.m., after an extended illness. Mrs. Armour is a former resident of the Oak Hill Community (Texas Road), and she was a teacher in Sabine Parish for several years. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 1, at 10 a.m., at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Constable officiating, and the Rev. Hoy Leach assisting. Burial was in the Springridge Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Bill Beasley, Kenneth Harrison, Kenneth Walker, Ricky Beasley, Joe Taylor, and Bob Armour. Survivors include two sons, S. D. Armour of Coushatta, and Robert Armour of Many; four daughters, Mattie Lou Armour, Mrs. Claude Beasley, both of Pleasant Hill; Mrs. Fannie Gentry of Many, and Mrs. Myrtle Jacobs of Lafayette; one brother, J. H. Davis of Pleasant Hill, one sister, Mrs. Randy Martin of Mansfield, 27 grandchildren, and 61 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
