Rev. Bobby Dye, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Many, officiated, and was assisted by Rev. Hubert Thrasher of Calvary Baptist. Music was provided by Gerald McKlesky, and Louise Gandy of Calvary Baptist. Interment was at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, west of Many. Mr. Armour was born February 28, 1899, in Brights, Miss., and died Friday, Sept. 20, at Toledo Nursing Center in Zwolle, at the age of 92. He had been a resident of Sabine Parish for 80 years. Mr. Armour is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Minnie Ola Morris Armour of Many, currently residing at Toledo Nursing Center; three sons, Harold Michael Armour and daughter-in-law Loretta of Zwolle, Tilghman Grey Armour and daughter-in-law Geneva of Gloster, Swepson Freeman Armour and daughter-in-law Georgia of Corrigan, Tex.; two daughters, Mildred Armour McHone and son-in-law Lewis of Kerrville, Tex., and Alma Armour Morris and son-in-law Larry of Carson, Calif.; two sisters, Sarah Frances Armour gentry, and Myrtle Armour Minor, both of Many. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers were Robert W. Armour, Robert W. Armour II, Robert Salley, H. L. (Bob) Morris, Joe DeBose, and Tommy Jacobs.
