Miss Izard passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. M. D. Wade, Many route five, died suddenly early Monday morning in Mobile, Ala. She is survived by her parents and seven sisters. Burial direction Dennis-Green funeral home of Many. ***************************************************************** Obituaries: Port Webb, Sabine Parish W-100 Source: Sabine Index, Many, La., Aug 20, 1943 Submitted by: Tammy Larche-Smith tammy@cp-tel.net The Sabine Index - Port Webb 20 Aug 1943 - Uncle Port Webb, age 84, years, died at his residence in the Bayou Scie community after a long illness. He was one of Sabine parish's oldest and well-known citizens, having loved his entire life in Bayou Scie community of Sabine parish. Mr. Webb was a member of Bayou Scie church and one of its most faithful members. His father was the first pastor of Bayou Scie church. Uncle Port, as he was known to everyone, both old and young, is survived by four children, three sons and one daughter; E. L. Webb, Many; T. A. Webb, J. W. Webb, Zwolle and Mrs. W. R. McFerrin with whom he made his home since the death of his wife. There are 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Bayou Scie church Wednesday afternoon at four o'clock, Rev. J. C. Price officiating, assisted by Rev. Joe Flanagan and Rev. Dykes of Zwolle. He had been in Sabine parish most of his life and was well-known throughout the parish, where he leaves many friends and relatives. Mr. Williams is survived by 12 children, seven sons, Andrew of Hemphill, Texas, Frank of Beaumont, Texas, Monroe of Houton, Texas, Curtis of Florien, Manuel of Oak Grove, J. W. of U. S. air force and Johnnie of U. S. army stationed at Camp Walters, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. Cora Polke of Hemphill, Texas, Mrs. Alice Jones of Many, Mrs. Rosie Jones of Beaumont, Texas, Mrs. Mary Speights of Negreet and Mrs. Paralee Anthony of Negreet; one brother, Andrew Williams, Hornbeck; one sister, Mrs. Julie Davis, Beaumont, Texas; 36 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
