passed away at St. Francis hospital in Monroe Tuesday, Aug. 12,
at 10:00 a.m. Burial was in a Monroe cemetery.

  Mrs. Bailey was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nette of Many
who survives.

away 1:30 a.m. Saturday were conducted 10 a.m. Sunday at Middle
Creek Baptist church by Rev. W. G. Bailey. Interment was under
direction Warren funeral home.

  Surviving relatives include: the widow, Mrs. Ellis Canady of
Mt. Carmel; sons, Louis Canaday, Beaumont, Texas, Jack Canady,
Plain Dealing, Thelton Canady, Beaumont, Texas, Ural Canady,
Baton Rouge, Harold and Ellis Earl Canady, Leesville; daughters,

The Sabine Index - Mrs. Dan Finn

  22 Aug 1952 - Funeral services for Mrs. Dan Finn, 75, who
died at her home in Pleasant Hill early Tuesday, were held at the
Plesant Hill Methodist church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

  Rev. Glen Smith officiated, assisted by Rev. Cecil Salley.
Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery under the direction of
Drewett funeral home of Mansfield.

  Mrs. Finn, who for many years had operated a Pleasant Hill
hotel, is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Orel
Bridges of Lafayette; three grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.

passed away at his home near Florien after an extended illness
Tuesday, were conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch Baptist
church by Rev. L. B. Ritchie, assisted by Rev. Guy Lewis and Coda
Salter. Interment was under direction Warren Funeral home with
Masonic rites at the graveside.

  Pallbearers were Melvin Wright, Melton Wright, Vernice Wright,
Lewis Cook, Kile Salter and Will Watts.

  Surviving relatives include: the widow, Mrs. Laura

  8 Aug 1952 - Funeral rites for Robert E. (Jack) Muse, 54, who
passed away at Sabine clinic, Zwolle, Wednesday of last week were
conducted at the Latter Day Saints chapel 4 p.m. Thursday by
elders J. R. McFarlane and L. A. Murdock. Interment was in Many
cemetery under direction Warren funeral home.

  Pallbearers were C. A. Hoagland, A. M. Skiner, O. D. White, T.
F. Colbert, C. V. Jackson and Abb Howard.

  Surviving relatives include: the widow, Mrs. Eula
Muse, Many; sons, James Robert Muse, Many, Arcie J. Muse,
Longview, Texas; daughters, Mrs. Ruby Lee Sprouse, Many, Mrs. R.
L. McDaniel, Many; sisters, Mrs. W. E. Strickland, Shreveport,
Mrs. J. J. Wright, Many; brothers, W. M. Muse, Salt Lake City,
Utah, Melvin D. Muse, Many, Raymond I. Muse, San Augustine,
Texas, and six grandchildren.

  Mr. Muse was a life long resident of Sabine parish,
having devoted most of his life for the benefit and improvement
of better roads in which he took much interest. He filled a
mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in
1916 and 1917. He had been employed by Louisiana Department of
Highways since 1929, during which time he served in several
capacities. At the time of his death he was project engineer in
charge of highway construction in Sabine parish and district
maintenance supervisor for the parishes of Sabine, Vernon, DeSoto
and Natchitoches.

The Sabine Index - Mrs. Beulah Bolton Reneau

  22 Aug 1952 - Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Bolton Reneau,
relict of the late James B. Reneau, were held at San Patricio
Baptist church Aug. 13. Mrs. Reneau died Aug. 11 after a long
illness. She was 76 years old. Rev. Frank M. Chance, pastor of
Noble Baptist church, of which deceased was a member, officiated.
He was assisted by Rev. Jerry Schmucker of Converse. Interment
was in the Cassell cemetery.

  Mrs. Reneau is survived by a sister, Mrs. Perry R. Cassell,
Sr., and a host of relatives and friends.

passed away at Shreveport Saturday, were conducted at Lewing
Chapel 3 p.m. Sunday by Revs. H. Taylor and W. D. Peacock.
Interment followed in Fisher cemetery under the direction of
Warren funeral home.

  Surviving relatives include; sons, Howard Tedder of Utah,
Teddy Tedder of Arizona and Gilbert Tedder of Many; daughter,
Mrs. Cassie Milligan, Los Angels, Calif., and nine

The Sabine Index - Ben F. Wagley

  1 Aug 1952 - Last rites for Ben F. Wagley, 70, were held at
Provencal Baptist church at 11 a.m. Saturday with Revs. Otha
Sober and Jimmie Miers officiating. Interment was in the
Provencal cemetery.

  Pallbearers were Bobbie Gibbs, E. J. Thourdssel, Gerald Wayne
Moss, Ray Boswell, Harold Dowden and D. E. Conlay.

  Surviving are widow, Mrs. Nona Wagley, of Provencal;
a brother, Allen Wagley, of DeRidder; three sisters, Mrs.
Marguerete Campbell, of Menard, Texas, Mrs. Kate Whitley, of
Shreveport and Mrs. Algie Werntz of Provencal, and a number of
nephews and nieces.

  Ben Wagley was a brother of the late A. C. Wagley of
Many.
