Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Plans were under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home. Mr. Bufkin, an oil drilling contractor, died suddenly Sunday, April 21, 1985, at his residence. He was a native of DeSoto Parish, La. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, Rayburn Armstrong "Buddy" Bufkin of Pleasant Hill; two daughters, Marilyn Shingleton of Crowley, La., and Mary Jane Johnson of Shreveport, La.; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild; four brothers, Floran E. Bufkin, and Oscar Bufkin of Mansfield, Reggie R. Bufkin of Converse, La., and Louis F. Bufkin of Alexandria, La.
