Buvens, age 38 years, Rural Mail Carrier of Route Three was instantly killed about midnight last Thursday night when his automobile crashed into a telephone post on the Many-Zwolle gravel highway. His neck being broken and skull crushed. Mr. Buvens had been in the government employ for the last 15 years as a Rural Letter Carrier on Route Three. Funeral services were held last Friday at 4:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic church. Rev. Father J. A. Benoit, officiating. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery. Deceased is survived by his wife and daughter Normarine, also four brothers, Dr. F. A. Buvens of Shreveport, Willie, Felix and Jim of Many and one sister, Miss Gertrude of Many.
