Joe E. Buvens

  A rosary was said at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, for Joe E.
Buvens, 81, of Shreveport, in the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel.

  The funeral was at 10 a.m., Friday, in St. John's Catholic
Church. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

  A retired home builder, Mr. Buvens died at 6:04 p.m., in Nurse
Care Nursing Home, after a long illness.

  A Robeline native, Mr. Buvens had lived in Shreveport since
1904. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.

  One of his nephews, the Rev. Edward Buvens, S. J. officiated at
the rosary.

  The Rev. Joseph Browning, pastor of St. John's Catholic Church
officiated at the services Friday.
