Mrs. Lee N. Bush

  Mrs. Evelyn Holmes Bush died Sunday, May 16, at a Lake Charles
Nursing Home.

  Mrs. Bush was a native of Longstreet, and a former music teacher,
having taught piano lessons in Pleasant Hill High School for a
number of years. Her husband, Lee N. Bush was principal at that
time.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 19, at the
First Baptist Church of Vinton. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill
Cemetery, at 4 p.m., with Rev. J. C. Salley, pastor of First Baptist
Church, in charge of graveside services.

  Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Lurline Bush, and Mrs.
Alma Bernice Bush Lyons of Vinton; one brother, Louis Whatley Holmes
of Houston; and one grandson, and one great-granddaughter.
