Robert E. Bass

  Robert E. Bass, 85, of Hemphill, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, from an
extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m., at the
Aimwell Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clarence Howell
officiating. Interment was in the Aimwell Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors are two sons, George C. Bass of Beaumont, and William
E. Bass of Hemphill; four daughters, Miss Belma Bass of Hemphill,
Mrs. Ethel Dowden of Zwolle, Mrs. Pearle Sunderland of Pineland,
and Mrs. Alice Gates of Hemphill; two brothers, Dennis Bass of
Hemphill, and Burtis Bass of Tullos; one sister, Mrs. Abbie
Parker of Zwolle, and numerous grandchildren.
