William Bass

  William Edward Bass, 56, of Hemphill, Tex., died Monday, Feb.
10, in a Galveston hospital.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in the Starr Funeral
Home Chapel, with the Rev. Clarence Howell, and the Rev. Jim
Helton officiating. Burial was in the Hemphill Cemetery.

  Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Ann McGraw of
Hemphill; one son, Billy Bass of Hemphill; one brother, George
Bass of Silsbee; four sisters, Miss Belma Bass, and Mrs. Alice
Gates, both of Hemphill, Mrs. Pearl Sunderland of Pineland, and
Mrs. Ethel Dowden of Zwolle, La.
