Rev. C. E. Bell, pastor of Assembly of God, Many, officiated. Burial will be at Beulah Cemetery in Many. She died Wednesday, October 6, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home, following a brief illness. Mrs. Bass, a native of Sabine Parish, Louisiana, was a housewife, and had been a resident of Shreveport for 30 years. Survivors include three sons, Willie H. Bass of Coushatta, Everett H. Bass of Many, Jessie Edward Bass, Jr. of Coushatta; five daughters, Lillian Mims of Anahuac, Tx., Myrtle Samec of St. Petersburg, Fla., Bobbye Heintschel of Texarkana, Tx., Murlene Thompson of Converse, and Isabell C. Bass of Shreveport; one sister, Vinnie Latham of Converse; 30 grandchildren; and 42 great grandchildren. Local arrangements were under the direction of Wellman Funeral Home.
