Mary Jane Bass

  Mrs. Mary Jane Bass of Shreveport, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, at
Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Shreveport, at the age of 88.

  Funeral services for Mrs. Bass were held Friday, Oct. 8, at 2
p.m., at Beulah Baptist Church. Graveside services were held at
Beulah Cemetery. Brother C. E. Bell officiated at the services.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Serving as pallbearers were Garry Heintschel, Gary Bass, Douglas
Arthur, Jesse Bass III, Jackie Bass, and Edwin McNeece.

  Surviving relatives are three sons, Willie H. Bass, Coushatta,
Everett H. Bass, Many, Jessie Edward Bass, Coushatta; five
daughters, Lillian Mims, Anahuac, Tex., Myrtle Semec, St.
Petersburg, Florida, Bobbye Heintschel, Texarkana, Tex., Murlene
Thompson, Converse, Isobell C. Bass, Shreveport; one sister,
Vinnie Latham, Converse; thirty grandchildren; and 42 great
grandchildren.
