Abner H. (Buddy) Box

  Services for Abner H. (Buddy) Box, 69, were held at 1 p.m.,
Wednesday, in Winnsboro First National Funeral Home Chapel, with
the Rev. Larry Eubanks officiating.

  Interment followed in Epps Cemetery, under the direction of
first National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

  Mr. Box passed away Monday, at his residence, after a short
illness.

  He was the superintendent at the LSU experiment station in
Winnsboro for 25 years.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Odessa P. Box of Winnsboro;
three sons, Hershel Box of Wisner, Gary Box, and Kevin Box, both
of Winnsboro; two daughters, Patricia Macmillan of Marthaville,
and Nadine Jacobs of Tallulah; a brother, Virgil Box of Atlanta,
Ga.; two sisters, Gladys Wagley, and Eunice Youngblook, both of
Natchitoches; 12 grandchildren.
