Bush, 74, of 204 N. Crocker St., were held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 20, in Hixson-Guardian Chapel. The Revs. James Sample, and Royce Sylvest officiated. Burial was in Mimosa Pines Cemetery. Mr. Bush died at 6:45 a.m., Saturday, in a local hospital, after a lengthy illness. A native of Hornbeck, he worked 25 years as an insurance salesman for Magnolia Life, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Sulphur Masonic Lodge, and First Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Lela Mae Bush, who would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in May; one son, Cecil J. Bush of Sulphur; one brother, Carl J. Bush of Florien; three sisters, Mrs. Gynetta Turner of Florien, Mrs. Willie Mae Tiley of Hornbeck, and Mrs. Eva Lee Branch of DeRidder; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, along with many friends.
