Bass - May 26, 1988 Services for Mr. Robert R. Bass, 42, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 22, in Wallace Baptist Church with burial in Zion's Rest Cemetery in the Wallace Community. The Rev. T. B. Gillooly, a retired minister, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Mark Weatherford, pastor of Wallace Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mr. Bass, born in Sabine Parish, died Thursday, May 19, 1988 in Willis Knighton Medical Center following a sudden illness. He had been a lifelong resident of the Wallace Community. He was a machinist having worked for several years for Neighbors Trailers, Inc. He was a member of Wallace Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Samuel Peyton Bass; two daughters, Danielle Bass, Suzannah Bass, all of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Mrs. Barbara Hamilton of Burkburnett, Texas; three brothers, the Rev. Peyton Bass of Monroe, Jimmy R. "Joe" Bass of Mansfield, Billie B. Bass of Mansfield; ten nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
