Basco, 68, were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 6, 1993, at Boone Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Fr. Walter Ebarb. Interment was held in Hillcrest Cemetery, with full military honors. Mr. Basco died Sunday, January 3, 1993, at Bossier Medical Center. He was born in Zwolle, La., was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, and the VFW Post #5159. Mr. Basco was a retired USAF Colonel, with 30 years service. After retirement from the Air Force, he was owner and operator of Basco Real Estate Agency. He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael W., and Phillip E. Basco. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Basco of Bossier City; two sons, John M. Basco Jr. of Fairhope, Ala., and Stephen R. Basco of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Orin Basco of Mansfield, La., and Lewis Basco of Zwolle, La.; and three grandchildren.
