She was taken to Sabine Clinic at Zwolle after the accident, then transferred to Confederate Memorial Medical Center in Shreveport. Driving the car was Bonnie Springer, 22, of Converse. She was charged with reckless operation of a vehicle. The car was traveling south on the highway, and was going too fast to make a curve. The car hit the right shoulder of the highway, went back on the highway, into a skid, left the highway, traveled through the air for more than 22 ft., before hitting a bridge abutment. Other passengers in the car were Julius Ebarb, Bonnie Ebarb, and Don Leone. Investigating this accident were Sgt. Miller, and Sgt. Joe Byles.
