The Rev. John Hicks, and the Rev. Walter Helms officiated. Burial was at Jolly's Chapel Cemetery in Union County, Ark. Plans were under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Haynesville. Mrs. Bishop died Sunday, Feb. 26, 1983, in Haynesville, after a brief illness. She is survived by three sons, Jesse J. Bishop, and A. G. "Buddy" Bishop of Haynesville, William Floyd Bishop of Yelm, Wash.; six daughters, Gloria Sweet, and Yvonne Mitchell of Haynesville, Zelma "Sally" Roy, and Doris Kennedy of Farmerville, La., Bobbye Cotton of Porter, Texas, and Imogene Hatcher of Converse, La.; two sisters, Ava Leonard of North Myrtle Beach, S. C., and Ann Massey of Houston, Texas; two step sisters, Willie Bailey of Haynesville, and Mary Baker of Houston; 32 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
