Buckley Denton Verdale Buckley, 26, of Shreveport, was dead on arrival at Confederate Memorial Hospital at 4 a.m., Friday, May 11. Cause of death has not been determined. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 13, at Beech Grove Methodist Church at Anacoco, with the Rev. I. D. Noble officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Wesley Harralson, and the Rev. Roger Noble. Burial was in Beech Grove Cemetery, under direction of Hixson and Son Funeral Home of Leesville. Survivors include his wife; one son, Thomas Austin Buckley, and a daughter, Virginia Buckley, both of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Daisy Buckley of Anacoco; two brothers, Thomas Wayne Buckley, and William C. Buckley, both of Anacoco, and two stepsisters, Frances B. Lewing of Shreveport, and Nadine C. Ellis of Hornbeck.
