All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Iva Lorraine Beasley Mrs. Iva Lorraine Beasley, 65, of Many, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 1986, at the Sabine Medical Center in Many. Funeral services were held at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Joe Ratcliff, and the Rev. E. E. Walker officiating. Interment was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include one brother, Mr. J. T. (Red) Dees; one sister, Mrs. Tina Coxe; three uncles, V. C. Norman, and Harry Walker; two aunts, Alene Alford, and Bertie McLendon, all of Many; a host of nieces, nephews, and a long time friend and companion, Mrs. Bertha Newton Johnston. Pallbearers were Bruce, Dan, Larry, and Steve Alford, Garland Lovelace, and Tommy Andries. Honorary pallbearers were Judge John S. Pickett, Roy Alford, Andy McCord, Clark Pouncy, Glen Lilly, P. B. Colvin, Dr. Greg Founds, Dr. L. C. Tackett, Dr. Charlie B. Tramel, Alonza Herrington, Pat Wright, and Ronnie Neal. Mrs. Beasley went to work as a secretary-bookkeeper for the Sabine Parish School Board in 1941, and on July 1, 1972, she retired from the Parish School Board, after 30 years of very efficient work, by a competent person. Funeral services were held at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Joe Ratcliff, and Rev. E. E. Walker officiating. Interment was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
