Boswell, 76, were held Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m., in the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel in Natchitoches. Msgr. Norman Buvens of Many, officiated. Burial followed in Memory Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Boswell of Natchitoches, died Sunday, Dec. 4, at 9:20 p.m., at the Schumpert Medical Center, Shreveport. Mr. Boswell was born in Many, and was a resident of Natchitoches for 45 years. Mr. Boswell was a retired welder with Local #247 in Alexandria. He was a member of the Many Masonic Lodge #411 F & AM, the Shreveport Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, and was a Baptist. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Peggy Davis Boswell of Natchitoches; three daughters, Connie Boswell Whitford and husband Mike of Natchitoches, Susan Boswell Murphy and husband Kenny of Alexandria, and Rebecca Boswell Alost and husband Mike of Shreveport; two sisters, Agnes B. Johnson of Lakeland, Fla., and Shawnee B. Osborne of Longville; four brothers, James Vanderbilt of Sonoma, Calif., Truett Boswell of Mandeville, Grover Boswell of Longville, and Kearney Boswell of Lakeside, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Michael Whitford Jr., Amy Whitford, Jennifer Whitford, Ashley Murphy, Kenneth Murphy Jr., John Michael Alost, and Melissa Alost. Pallbearers were Mr. Boswell; nephews, Jimmy Lafitte, Gary Lafitte, Bruce Lafitte, Chris Davis, James Boswell, and G. C. Boswell. Honorary pallbearers were Irby L. Knotts of Natchitoches.
