Beasley were held November 19, 2002, at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Many. Internment was in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Beasley was born on August 27, 1931, to parents Doyle Carter and Gladys B. Carter. She died peacefully Sunday, November 17, 2002, with her family at her bedside at Schumpert Medical Center, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was an intelligent woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a nurturer who dedicated her life to her family. She and her husband traveled to Europe and lived in the Middle East and Far East. She was a member of the DAR, and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by her son Richard, and her father Doyle Carter. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gerald A. "Buddy" Beasley of Many; sons, Gerald Beasley of Many, William Beasley and wife Charlotte of Magnolia, Texas, and Stephen Beasley of Many; daughter, Kimberly Beasley-Bedrich and husband Ronnie of Kingwood, Texas; mother, Gladys B. Carter; sister, Rosalind Wright; five grandsons; eight great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were her sons and grandsons. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church in Many to honor her memory.
