Beason, 73, of Shreveport, were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 23, at Aimwell Baptist Church in Zwolle. Mr. Beason died at 12:20 a.m., Friday, April 21, at Confederate Memorial Medical Center, after a sudden illness. He had been a resident of Shreveport for 20 years, and was a native of Leesville in Vernon Parish. Officiating was the Rev. Charles A Barnett, pastor of Linwood Baptist church, and the Rev. Charles Duncan, pastor of Aimwell Baptist Church. Burial as in the Aimwell cemetery. Mr. Beason was a retired laborer and was a member of Linwood Baptist Church. Wellman Funeral Home is directing arrangements. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pearlie J. Beason; three sons, Charles H. Beason of Odessa, Texas, Donald R. Beason of Nacogdoches, Texas, and John W. Beason of Camden, Arkansas; five step sons, J. C. Bass of Zwolle., Howard Bass, and Leonard C. Bass, both of Shreveport, D. L. Bass of Splendora, Texas, and Hershel Bass of Cleveland, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Theresa Hewitt of Odessa; two stepdaughters, Mrs. C. H. Jones of Noble, and Mrs. Aubrey Armstrong of Zwolle; three brothers, J. B. Beason of Shreveport, and Riley Beason, and Joe Beason, both of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Farmer of Shreveport, 42 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wayne Jones, Glenn Jones, Dennis Santos, Wayne Ezernack, George Smith, and Thomas Campbell.
