James Columbus (J. C.) Beason

  Funeral services for James Columbus (J. C.) Beason, 86, were
held Tuesday, August 20, 1996, at Ft. Jesup Baptist Church, at 2
p.m., with Rev. Glenn Flenniken, and Rev. Wayne Hicks
officiating. Interment was at Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Beason passed away Saturday, August 17, in Shreveport.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ettie Beason; two sisters,
Ella Beeson of Colston, and Edna Beeson of Slidell; one brother,
Mac Jefferson Beason.

  He is survived by one sister, Louise Beeson Remedies of New
Orleans; one brother, Joe H. Beeson of Slidell; one stepson; and
three stepdaughters; a host of nieces and nephews.

  He was a World War II veteran. Military services will be
conducted by the Disabled American Veterans, Sabine Chapter 21.
