Beason, 73, died July 3, 2002, at Willis Knighton Medical Center of Shreveport. He was a member of Zwolle United Pentecostal Church. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., July 6, at Zwolle United Pentecostal Church, with interment following at Pine Knot Cemetery in Fisher. The Rev. Phillip North officiated. Survivors include two sons, Eddie Herpin of Shreveport, and Richard Beason of Many; three daughters, Glenda Hammond of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Deborah LaGrange, and Janet Dockens LaGrange, both of Many; one sister, Wilma Lee Ragesdale of Hooks, Texas; two brothers, Steve Beason of Zwolle, and Ed Packwood of Australia; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Beason; second wife, Vada Beason; parents; two brothers; and one sister. Pallbearers were Jeremy Dockens, Davey Dockens, Vernon Eggleston, Tim Kelly, Austin, and James Beason. Honorary pallbearers were Glen Richardson, Johnny Teasley, Mr. Alfred Hippler, and Delmar Lewing. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Many, La.
