Bossier, 98, of Benson, were at 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, at Union Springs Baptist Church near Converse, with Rev. Alfred Mitchell, and Rev. Lee Dixon officiating. Burial was in Union Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield, La. She died Tuesday, Aug. 18, at DeSoto General Hospital in Mansfield, following an extended illness. Mrs. Bossier is survived by her son, Leslie Bossier of Logansport, La.; daughters, Mrs. Leola Ricks of Nederland, Tex., Mrs. Geneva Sherwood, and Mrs. Wilda Massey of Converse, La., Mrs. Alma Van Veckhoven of Florien, La.; brother, Edgar Sutherlin of Heidleburg, Miss.; 18 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons, Charles Smith, Johnny Massey, Jacky Smith, Forest Paddie, Jerry Don Bossier, Paul Ricks, Tim Singletary, and Don Sherwood.
