She was born Jan. 30, 1912, at Clara, and passed away Feb. 3, 2001, at the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, at the age of 89. Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Baker of DeRidder; her parents, Charles and Mary Tate of Clara; two brothers; and two sisters., She is survived by two children, Michael Baker and his wife Brenda, and Delia McFarland and her husband Monroe of Florien. She had four grandchildren; and one great granddaughter; one sister, Alma Hankins of Shreveport; two brothers, Rodrick Tate of Pineland, Texas, and Harmon Tate of Baton Rouge; and a host of nieces and nephews. Bro. Ottis Branam, and Glen Miers officiated the service. Pallbearers were Eldry Ferguson, Billie Johnson, R. T. Miller, Cecil Rice, Royce Melton, and a nephew, Lyndon Flynn. A special thanks to Ken Leach, and Warren Meadows of Many for their kindness. For the many friends of Little Flock, and especially Marguerite Spears, who provided food, and helped us through a difficult time.
