Dr. Norman Ural Booker

  Funeral services for Dr. Norman Ural Booker, 77, of Many, were
held at 10 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 15, 1996, at the First Baptist
Church of Many.

  The Revs. William Heins, and Tommy Bergeron, and Dr. Billy
McCormack officiated. Burial was in the Lanana Cemetery, under
the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Dr. Booker died at St. Patricks Hospital in Lake Charles,
Saturday, Jan. 13.

  Survivors include his wife, Kilda Coleman Booker; three sons,
Norman U. booker Jr. of Many (wife Marilyn), John Gregory Booker
of El Dorado, Ark. (wife Jan), and Stephen Page Booker of Lake
Charles (wife Michele); four daughters, June Booker Mitchell of
Minden, Cynthia Booker Founds of Lake Charles (husband Peter).
Stacey Booker Crumpton of Cabot, Ark. (husband Jim), and Nancy
Booker Campbell of Minden (husband John); one sister, Mildred
Bates of Lake Placid, Fla.; one brother, Earl Booker of Naples,
Fla.; 18 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

  He is preceded in death by his parents, John Ural and Florence
Nowling
  Booker.

  Pallbearers were Warren Founds, M.D., Robert Dale Geoghagan,
Doug Patrick, Mike Nichols, Alan Rials, and Ben Peterson.

  Honorary pallbearers were David M. Bray Jr., E. M. Patrick,
Benny McNeely, C. E. Smith, and Hollis Bray.

  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Gideon Bible Memorial
may be made.
