Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, at First Baptist Church in Many, with interment following at LaNana Farms Cemetery. Dr. Edward Scott will officiate. Mrs. Booker was born Oct. 2, 1925, in Shongaloo, the youngest child of Oliver E. and Izora Simms Coleman. Survivors include seven children, Norman U. Booker Jr. and wife Merilyn of Many, June Elaine Booker of Lafayette, J. Gregory Booker and wife Jan of El Dorado, Ark., S. Page Booker of Lake Charles, Cynthia Booker Founds and husband Peter of Lake Charles, Stacey Booker Crumpton and husband Jim of Cabot, Ark., and Nancy Booker Campbell and husband John of Minden; 18 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Sue Coleman Bailey of Lubbock, Texas; two brothers, Don S. Coleman, and James S. Coleman of Shreveport. Mrs. Booker was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Norman Ural Booker, M.D.; one sister, June Coleman Fox; and brother, Theus Coleman. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Gideon Foundation at 135 Hickory Drive, Many, La. 71449, or the charity of the donor's choice.
