Bossier Sr., 85, of Converse, were held June 1, at Union Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Schmucker, and the Rev. Percy Binning officiating. Burial was in Union Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home. Mr. Bossier died Wednesday afternoon, May 31, in Allen Sanitarium at Converse, after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Converse, and a retired farmer. Pallbearers were R. G. Claer Jr., T. E. Bossier Jr., V. Welborn, Jesse H. Johnson, T. J. Hice, and J. D. Farmer. Survivors are his widow; four sons, Evsell, and Melvin of Converse, Albert of Overton, Texas, R. D. Jr. of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Mrs. R. G. Claer of Longview, Texas; two brothers, Clayton of Bossier City, and Ray of Converse; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Welborn of Pelican, Mrs. Millie Hice of Mansfield; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
