Boothe Mr. Joe C. Boothe died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1988 in Many. He was 57, a native of Harrisonburg and former resident of Slaughter, He was retired owner of Zachary Television Service and former employee of Louisiana Department of Corrections at Angola as a carpenter foreman and U. S. Navy veteran of Korean conflict. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home in Clinton, noon to 9 p.m. Monday. Visiting at First Baptist Church, Jackson, 9 a.m. to religious services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Darwin Hall, the Rev. Joe Neson and the Rev. Basil Wicker. Burial in Star Hill Cemetery, St. Francisville. He was survived by his wife, Lula Watson Boothe, Many; three daughters, Shelia Yantis, Zachary, Louise Travis, Angola, and Jo Ann Young, St. Francisville; three sons, Joseph Adrian Boothe, Many, T. J. Boothe and Rodney Booth, both of slaughter; four sisters, Louise Tarver, Many, Millie Grant, Olla Beth Stroud, Houston, Tx., and Mert Jones, Harrisonburg; two brothers, Roy Boothe, Houston, Tx. and James Boothe, Lorado, Tx.; 10 grandchildren; a number of nieces; nephews; and three sons-in-law, Bobby Young, St. Francisville, Billy Travis, Angola, and Chad Yantis, Zachary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Maude Boothe; two grandsons, Chad Yantis, Jr. and Jeremy Charles Travis; and three brothers, Bill Boothe, Snuck Boothe and Mike Boothe. He was a lifetime member of Big Mouth Bass Club.
