The Sabine Index - Mrs. A. L. Bates 
  
  3 Jul 1959 - Last rites for Mrs. A. L. Bates, age 83, were at 
Shiloah church with burial in Shiloah cemetery under the 
direction of Warren Funeral home at 2:30 p.m. June 25. Mrs. Bates 
died June 24 at her home in Florien after a lengthy illness. 
  
  She is survived by her husband, Mr. Bates of Florine; two 
daughter, Mrs. Virgie Holt, Beaumont, Mill Helen Bates, Florien; 
four sisters, Mrs. Helen Bonds, Mrs. Arvie Timon, both of 
Natchitoches, Mrs. Cora Wester, Provencal, Mrs. Ruth Bonds, 
Winnfield; five grandchildren.
