Boydston, 57, of Houston, Texas, a former Shreveport resident, were held Monday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m., at the Westheimer Chapel of Forest Park Funeral Home in Houston. Officiating was the Rev. Joseph DiRaddo, and the Rev. Gary Herbst. Burial followed in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. Mr. Boydston died at 11:25 a.m., Friday, June 8, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, following a long illness. A native of Natchitoches, Mr. Boydston worked as a geophysicist for Pennziol Producing Co. for 26 years. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Church of the Epiphany, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and Geophysical Society of Houston. Survivors include widow, Lou Boydston of Houston; mother, Eunice Boydston of Natchitoches; sons, James L. Boydston, and Robert Boydston, both of Houston; daughters, Lynda Boydston, and Laurie Boydston, both of Houston; sisters, Lucille Davis, and Mrs. William Sholar, both of Shreveport, Alva Tarver of Many, and Mrs. Howard Meeker of Baton Rouge; and brothers, Jack Boydston, Kendal Boydston, Bill Boydston, and Mead Boydston, all of Natchitoches, and Marvin Boydston of Largo, Fla.
