The Sabine Index - Zack Batson 
  
  12 Nov 1948 - Funeral services for Zack Batson, age 46, of 
Belmont who died at Prothro clinic, Pleasant Hill, 7:45 a.m. 
Monday, were held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from Bethsadia Baptist church 
with the pastor of Belmont Baptist church officiating. In 
  interment followed in Bethsadia cemetery under direction 
Drewitt funeral home of Mansfield. 
  
  Mr. Batson died from injuries sustained in an accident at the 
Latham sawmill in Noble at 1 p.m. last Thursday. 
  
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hettie Austin Batson of Belmont; 
two sons, Herman of DeQuincy and Melburn of Many; three brothers, 
Dave Batson of Zwolle, Nathan Batson, LaMesa, Texas and Doss 
Batson, St. Louis , Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Felix Greer of 
Bethsadia, Mrs. Nora Nash and Mrs. Lillie Webb, both of 
Shreveport.
