Melburn Zack Batson Sr.

  Melburn Zack Batson Sr., originally of Many, died Sunday, Aug.
23, at 9:30 a.m., at his residence in Port Neches, Tx., following
a short illness.

  He was 69.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Nederland
Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at the East Mountain
Cemetery in East Mountain, Tx., at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 26.

  Mr. Batson is survived by his widow, Addie Batson of Port
Neches; two daughters, Eula (Dolly) Dillon of Port Neches, Tx.,
and Cathy Gobert of Orlando, Fl.; a son, Melburn (Bubba) Batson
Jr. of Nederland; and 9 grandchildren.

  Mr. Batson was a retired construction foreman, servicing the
Golden Triangle area, and a veteran of WWII.
