Officiating was Bro. Skip Palmer, and Bro. Charles Luke. Interment was at Bethsadia Cemetery, under the direction of Les Fontaine Funeral Home. Mrs. Batson passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 1996, at her residence. She was born in Zwolle, April 11, 1936, to Louis and Isler Bass Cryer. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Harold Ayres. Mrs. Batson is survived by her husband, Marvin J. Batson of Many; daughters, Sue Lynn Mitchell of Ft. Jesup, Geraldine Teasley of Leesville, Melinda J. West of Hilliard, Fla., Catherine Darlene Sepulvado of Ebarb, Pamela Annett Batson of Leesville; sons, Phillip W. Batson of Leesville, Louis D. Batson of Uniontown, Pa., Anthony D. Batson of Bossier City; sisters, Essie Lee Gentry of Many, Johnny Bell Dyess of Shreveport, Lela Lampkin of Merryville, Yvonne Cryer of Shreveport; brothers, Elton Ayres of Diana, Texas, and Larry Cryer of Zwolle. She also has 21 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers were Tony Procell, Roy Mitchell Jr., Jeffrey Cryer, Billy Reid, Brian Batson, and Chester Sepulvado Jr.
