The Rev. Carroll Marr, and Dr. David McKenzie officiated. Burial was at Memory Lawn Cemetery. Plans were under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Mr. Butler died Thursday, May 2, 1985, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. He was a native of Florien, La., and was a retired automobile mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Lora W. Butler of Natchitoches; one daughter, Janet McKenzie of Rome, Ga.; one sister, Exie McInnis of Florien, La.; one grandson, Sean McKenzie; and one granddaughter, Andrea McKenzie of Rome, Ga. Pallbearers were James Burt, Stan Cornish, Dr. Joey Paul, Roy Brown, Lloyd Ponder, and Jim Davis.
