James W. Bowden

  James William Bowden, 81, of Pleasant Hill, died in a Shreveport nursing home Oct. 17,
after a brief illness.

  Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 18, in the Blue Ridge Methodist Church in
Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. Ruby Dickerson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lige
Jennings, and the Rev. Foster Jennings. Burial was in the Zion Rest Cemetery.

  Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Willie Mae Woods of Shreveport; five sons,
Raymond Bowden of Pelican, Clarence Bowden of Coushatta, Richard Bowden, and Cecil W.
Bowden, both of Powhatton, and James M. Bowden of Bossier City; three step-children, C. T.
Burks, C. D. Burks, and Mrs. R. T. Tyler, all of Shreveport.
