Bowden, 68, who died Friday morning, in a Mansfield hospital, after a short illness, were held Saturday, at 10 a.m., in the Bethel Methodist Church, with the Rev. Willie Prothro officiating, assisted by the Rev. George Sherman, and the Rev. Foster Jennings. Burial was in the Zion's Cemetery, under the direction of the Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Moffett, and Mrs. D. L. Dykes of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. A. O. Wyatt of Homer; two brothers, W. G. Bowden of Sulphur, and J. A. Bowden of Lubbock, Texas. Active pallbearers were Thomas Hardee III, Waylon Maroney, Raleigh Walker, Harvey Haire, Oscar Wells, and Kenneth Graham.
