Officiating were the Rev. Foster Jennings, and the Rev. Clarence Berley. Arrangements were under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La. Burial was in Beulah Community. Mr. Blue was born February 11, 1910, and died February 22, 1984. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors include four daughters, Lucille Pruitt, and Ruth Cotton of Robeline, Myrtis Halstom of Pleasant Hill, Evonne Orea of Waskom, Texas, and Joyce Chenault of Keithville; one son, James Edwin Blue of Robeline; two sisters, Rosie Harper of Shreveport; and Helen Nolley of Natchitoches; three brothers, Leslie Blue of Mansfield, Richard Blue of Shreveport, and Glen Blue of Ferriday, La.; nineteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
