The Rev. Dick Sawyer, and Rev. C. E. Willis officiated. Burial was at DeBerry Cemetery. Plans were under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home in Carthage, Texas. Mr. Blue, an oilfield pumper for Falcon Energy, and Triple J. Investments, died Monday, April 9, 1984, at a Shreveport, La. Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born October 24, 1930, in Louisiana, and has been a resident of DeBerry for the past five years, moving from Carthage, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Emma Lee Blue of Pleasant Hill, La.; his wife, Mrs. Verna Reed Blue of DeBerry; two sons, and daughters-in-law, Charles David and Wanda Blue, and Eddie and Lee Blue, all of Carthage; one brother, James Lloyd Blue of Minden, La.; one sister, Mary Blue of Pleasant Hill, La.; two granddaughters, Angela Danette, and Christi Danielle Blue of Carthage; several aunts and uncles.
