  Services for Mrs. Katherine L. Bell, will be held Saturday, May
9, 1987, at 11 a.m., at Jenkins Funeral Home in Many.

  Mrs. Bell was born to Eloise Cross and the late King D. Cross
Sr., on July 11, 1942, in Sabine Parish. She departed this life,
Sunday, May 3, 1987, at Willis Knighton South Hospital,
Shreveport. She was a graduate of Sabine High School, Many, La.,
and Southern University, Baton Rouge, La. She was married to Mr.
Lewis H. Bell Sr., June 17, 1977, and to this union, one son,
Lewis H. Bell Jr. was born.

  She leaves to mourn her homegoing, her husband, Mr. Lewis H.
Bell Sr. of Shreveport; her sons, Terry Cross, Lewis H. Bell Jr.;
and daughter, Sherry L. Cross; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Collier,
and Mrs. Francis Davis; four brothers, Lee N. Garner, Shepard
Cross, James Cross, and King D. Cross Jr.; a host of nieces,
nephews, relatives, and friends.

  Active pallbearers will be Wayne Garner, Jeffery Garner, Lee N.
Garner Jr., Edward Davis, Paul Davis, Lawrence Davis, Earl Davis,
Jason Davis, Keith Cross, James Cross Jr., and Stacey Cross.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lee N. Garner, Shepard Cross, James
Cross, King D. Cross, and Jimmie Collier.
