Terral Lowe officiating. Interment was in the Springhill Cemetery. Joey, a native and lifelong resident of Springhill, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Springhill. He was a disabled carpenter, served in the U. S. Navy, and attended Louisiana Tech. He is survived by his mother and father, Elizabeth Pickler Bell, and Joe Curtis Bell Sr. of Springhill; one son, Curtis Bell of Lafayette; one daughter, April Shaw of Shongaloo; one stepson, Donnie Bell of Homer; one step daughter, Jenau Lipiri of Lindale, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Danny Edens of Springhill, LaJuana and Donald Scott of LaPorte, Texas; maternal grandfather, G. K. Pickler of Zwolle. Pallbearers were Garrett Edens, Brandon Edens, Thomas Rodgers, Dereck Brown, Bill Dilbrey, and Harold Clayton.
