Mr. Bailey lived in Berryville, Ark. For 15 years, prior to moving to Converse in February 2000. He loved animals, and helped many worthwhile causes, like the March of Dimes, Alzheimer Association, American Cancer Society, NRA, and many others. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 8, at Lakeside Baptist Church in Converse, with interment following at Walnut Grove in Eros. The Rev. Bob Latham officiated. Survivors include his widow, Margaret Anne Ronne Bailey of Converse; two daughters, Carol Anne Bailey Bonnett and husband Jesse of Converse, and Peggy Sue Bailey Marsh and husband Ernest, Paulden, Ariz.; two sons, Robert Lawrence Bailey, aka Bob Leigh and wife Judy of Long Beach, Calif., and Dr. John Stuart Bailey and wife Catherine of Irvine, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by one son, Arthur Gordon Bailey IV; one daughter, Elizabeth Joan Bailey Evans. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
