All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mable Mae Hawkins Bailey Funeral services for Mrs. Mable Mae Hawkins Bailey, 89, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, 1996, at Holly Ridge Assembly of God Church near Haynesville. Brother Edward Phelps officiated, assisted by Brother Walter Helms. Burial followed in the Holly Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Haynesville. Mrs. Bailey, born on Dec. 20, 1906, in Woodbury, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 20, in Homer. She was the wife of Foster Bailey for 70 years. They were married June 7, 1925. She was preceded in death by one son, William Thomas "Pete" Bailey. She is survived by her husband, Foster Bailey of Haynesville; five daughters, Marjorie Bailey Ray (husband W. P. Jr.) of Shreveport, Lillian Bailey Moss (husband Milford) of Haynesville, Maxine Bailey Beason (husband Guy) of Boonville, Ark., Janette Bailey Fowler (husband Marion) of Converse, and Joyce Bailey Lawless (husband Jim) of Commerce, Texas. She is also survived by three sons, Murphy Bailey of Haynesville, Marvin "Jack" Bailey (wife Laura) of Haynesville, Eugene "Gene" Bailey of Shreveport; 26 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
