Minister Mike Gamble officiated, with the Church of Christ. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Castor. Mrs. Blake, born in Castor, a resident of Shreveport since 1965, died Thursday, May 19, 1983, at Guest House Nursing Home. She was a housewife, and was Baptist affiliated. She is survived by her father, T. L. Reeves of Minden; six sons, Joe W. Blake of Shelbyville, Texas, Mack S. Blake of Chandler, Texas, Donald R. Blake of Port Allen, La., Linale D. Blake of Shreveport, Jimmy B. Blake of Zwolle, and Johnny R. Blake of Grand Cane; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Patsy Dean) Slayden of Mesquite, Texas; 24 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Reeves of Minden, and Dallas Reeves of Freeport, Texas three sisters, Mrs. Dallas Henley of Kerrville, Texas, Mrs. Gertis Stenson of Minden, and Mrs. Cleve McCort of Castor. Pallbearers were grandsons, Gregory D. Blake, Gary L. Blake, Barry L. Gamble, Kevin R. Blake, Johnny Mack Blake, and Wylie Buck Mayne.
