Valmont Sebastian Byles

  26 Oct 1945 - Funeral services for Valmont Sebastian Byles, age
69 years, who died at his home in Many after a lengthy illness
Sunday, Oct. 21, were held 2 p.m. Monday from Pisgah church with
the Rev. Willis Greer pastor of Calvary Baptist church, assisted
by the Rev. T. J. Holladay, pastor of Pleasant Hill Methodist
church, officiating.

  Mr. Byles was the son of the late Valmore Byles, who during his
life was associated with the educational program of the state of
Louisiana, and the late Mary Fraces(sic) Byles.

  Surviving are: wife, Mrs. Alice DeBose Byles, three sons, Roy
Leon, Robert S. and Louis Everette Byles, all of Many; two
daughters, Mrs. Donald D. Kelly, Many and Mrs. Robert L. McComic,
Zwolle; a sister, Mrs. Bascom Sears, Centerville, Texas, and 11
grandchildren.

  Interment was in Pisgah cemetery under the direction Massingill
funeral home.
