John Joseph Blake, Jr.

  Services for John Joseph Blake Jr., 64, were held at the St.
John the Baptist Catholic Church, Many, La., Monday, March 2, at
1 p.m., with Monsignor Norman Buvens officiating. Interment
followed in the church cemetery. A Rosary for Mr. Blake was held
Saturday, Feb. 29, at 7:30 p.m., at Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Blake, a lifelong resident of Many, passed away Friday, Feb. 28,
in Shreveport, following a lengthy illness.

  Blake currently served as a Senior Vice President of People
State Bank. He was a member of the St. Johns Catholic Church in
Many.

  He is survived by his wife, Murrel Arthur Blake of Many; three
children, Cynthia Ann Blake Funderburk of Many, Mary Elizabeth
Blake of Shreveport, and John Joseph Blake III, also of Many;
four granddaughters, Katie Funderburk, Witney Blake, Allie Blake,
and Callie Blake; two grandsons, Allen, and Todd Funderburk, all
of Many.

  Pallbearers were Wayne Adams, Edward L. Harris Jr., Pete
Abington, James R. Gandy, Ken Simmons, Edwin R. Lites, Mike
Nichols, and J. S. Pickett Jr.
