Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m., at the Oak Hill Baptist Church near Many, with the Rev. J. P. King officiating, assisted by the pastor, the Rev. R. Bond, and the Rev. Billy Jackson. Mrs. Byles, widow of the late Valmont Sebastian Byles, and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Simeon DeBose, is survived by three sons, Roy, Robert, and Louis Byles, all of Many; two daughters, Mrs. Don Kelly of Many, and Mrs. R. L. McComic of Zwolle; three brothers, Grover DeBose of Many, Everett DeBose of Pineville, and Louis DeBose of Coushatta; two half brothers, T. B. Jackson Sr. of Natchitoches, and Bob Jackson of Saratoga, Tex.; 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Dallas Kelly, R. L. McComic Jr., Valmore Byles, Rufus Kelly, Clauriste Byles, and W. H. McComic. Interment, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home, was in the Old Pisgah Cemetery near Marthaville, where four generations of her ancestors are buried.
