She was a native of Florien, and had resided in Cameron for the past five years, coming from Vista, Calif. She was a member of the South Lake Charles Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Ross and Ada Salter of Florien. The last three years, she resided with her niece, Doris Turpin Duhon in Cameron. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Aug. 10, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, with interment following at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Wilton Anthony officiated. Survivors include one brother, Ralph Salter of Sulphur, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Archie Corley, and John Blackett; two sisters, Odie Salter Rice, and Ruby Salter Turpin; and two brothers, Jack Salter, and the Rev. Cody Salter.
